With outstanding technical strength and a professional service team, Hangzhou Domex-E Gas Equipment Engineering Co., Ltd. has, since its founding in 2009, provided packaging and field service for more than 200 Siemens compressor units for many partners. Recently, good news came from three major project sites, where compressor trains were installed and started up successfully. This is not only a showcase of Domex-E's technical strength and service level but also a vivid picture of working hand in hand with partners to achieve success together.
Southwest Copper relocation project: integrated air compressor and booster train commissioned and started up
On 24 August 2024, the integrated air compressor and booster train supplied by Domex-E was successfully commissioned and started up in the 66,000 Nm³/h air separation unit of the Southwest Copper relocation project, completing an important milestone in building the oxygen plant. Facing many challenges in transport and installation, the Domex-E team ensured smooth transport and installation of the compressor through forward planning and careful organization, showing its close attention to and deep understanding of the customer's needs.
The Siemens integrated air compressor and booster (STC-GV(200-4)) supplied by Domex-E combines the air compressor and the booster in a single train. This design lowers equipment investment, saves civil works and building costs and shortens installation time. To speed up installation and commissioning of the whole air separation unit, Domex-E optimized the installation process, prepared thoroughly beforehand, sent several senior service engineers to guide installation on site and worked in day and night shifts, shortening the installation and commissioning period once again. Working through the difficult conditions of the rainy season, the engineers overcame obstacle after obstacle and completed installation and commissioning of the compressor train in just 38 days.
Yunnan Desheng vanadium-titanium eco-industrial park oxygen project: air compressor succeeds in its first trial run
On 15 August 2024, the main air compressor supplied by Domex-E for the air separation equipment of the 40,000 Nm³/h oxygen project at Yunnan Desheng Iron and Steel's vanadium-titanium metal eco-industrial park passed its trial run at the first attempt. This allowed the pre-cooling system, purification system, cold box and other systems to be purged, showing that the oxygen system is ready for its hot-load trial run and that normal product supply from the air separation unit is just around the corner.
Domex-E supplied a Siemens STC-GC(265+-3) train with a discharge pressure of 0.53 MPa(A) and a discharge flow of 205,000 Nm³/h, and set up a dedicated project management team on receiving the order. In the design phase, it supported the customer's design and model reviews, helping the customer and the design institute understand the design features of the compressor. In the manufacturing phase, it strictly controlled the quality checkpoints and delivered on time. After the equipment reached the site before the May Day holiday, Domex-E sent senior service engineers to guide installation and worked overtime with the customer to lift the air compressor, motor, coolers, lube oil station and other equipment into place before Yunnan's rainy season, so that the building could be closed in on time.
Hangyang Dazhou project: success at the first attempt, a new chapter together
On 14 August 2024, the first main air compressor of Hangyang's Dazhou 40,000 ASU project started up successfully and completed its mechanical performance acceptance. This is the first project between Domex-E and Hangyang Group. As the opening project of their cooperation, it marks a solid step toward deeper cooperation in industrial gases and is a comprehensive test and showcase of both sides' technical strength and project management capability. Its success will lay a solid foundation for future cooperation and open up broader room for working together.
During the Hangyang Dazhou project, Domex-E's sales, technical, project and service departments all showed great professionalism and dedication. They worked closely together and, with professional skills and quality service, won unanimous praise from Hangyang Group's leadership. In the early stage of construction, site conditions were incomplete, making logistics and lifting very challenging. Yet Domex-E service manager Wang Liang, project engineer Zhang Jianbao and their colleagues overcame one difficulty after another with hard work and determination, coordinating logistics on site and carefully organizing the lifting work to ensure the equipment was installed safely, accurately and efficiently. Their commitment to staying at their posts and taking responsibility in tough conditions earned the respect and praise of everyone on site.
