Since its founding in 2009, Domex-E has weathered fifteen years together with its partners and witnessed great changes in the industry. From 31 October to 1 November 2024, the "Accumulate and Develop, Stir Up the Future" customer conference, jointly held by Domex-E and Siemens Energy, came to a successful close. Nearly a hundred partners were invited. The conference was both a comprehensive work report to our customers and a gathering for exchange among peers and partners.
The conference had two main parts: a day of meetings on 31 October and a factory visit on 1 November. At the opening on 31 October, Mr. Yang Xin, Chairman and General Manager of Domex-E; Mr. Zhang Tiangui, Executive Vice President of Siemens Energy Co., Ltd.; and Professor Liu Baoqing, Vice Dean of the College of Energy Engineering at Zhejiang University, gave speeches, adding to the occasion.
Guest speeches
Mr. Yang Xin, Chairman and General Manager of Domex-E, said that Domex-E will keep being a responsible company that lives up to its obligations, and that Domex-E's development owes much to the support of Siemens Energy. After years of rapid growth, Domex-E will continue to uphold the philosophy of "customer success, win-win cooperation" and keep innovating and breaking new ground. The cooperation between Domex-E and Siemens Energy is bound to be 1 + 1 > 2. Domex-E hopes not only to provide customers with products and services but also to grow together with them and achieve shared success.
In his speech, Mr. Zhang Tiangui, Executive Vice President of Siemens Energy Co., Ltd., said that over ten years of cooperation between Siemens Energy and Domex-E, the two sides have stood together through thick and thin, met difficulties head-on and witnessed Domex-E's growth step by step. He looks forward to Domex-E and Siemens Energy maintaining their strategic partnership, jointly opening up broader markets and providing more customers with more safe, reliable, efficient and low-carbon equipment and solutions. He also mentioned that 2025 marks the 20th anniversary of Siemens Energy's Huludao plant. As one of Siemens Energy's three main compressor plants worldwide, the Huludao plant is the only main plant able to produce the full range of compressor products, and the GC model has been 100% localized. He welcomed customers to visit the Huludao plant.
In his speech, Professor Liu Baoqing, Vice Dean of the College of Energy Engineering at Zhejiang University, thanked Domex-E for donating the "Zhejiang University Education Foundation College of Energy Engineering Process Equipment and Control Engineering Textbook Development Domex-E Fund", the only special fund at Zhejiang University set up for the development of specialized textbooks, which is uniquely pioneering. Professor Liu noted that sound and efficient university-industry cooperation provides the college with a new platform for practical research and brings the latest academic results and innovative thinking to the industry. The college's research team and Domex-E's engineers will continue to work closely together to develop new technologies and products and turn the latest research results into practical applications. He also looks forward to working with more partners to advance education in China, help modernize the industry, empower new industrialization and develop new quality productive forces.
Keynote speeches
In his speech, Mr. Su Junkai, Executive Deputy General Manager of Domex-E, stressed that customers and partners are Domex-E's lifeline. Under the theme "customer success, win-win cooperation", he drew on real cases across products, engineering and service to share Domex-E's down-to-earth, customer-centred efforts over fifteen years. He closed by following the logical sequence of the business, presenting the professional value Domex-E provides to customers at each stage, and used dozens of typical cases to show the compressor lifecycle management ecosystem through which Domex-E builds strong ties with its customers, and the shared vision of continuing to grow together.
Dr. Zhou Hua, Director of Strategy and Marketing at Siemens Energy's low-carbon industry group, explained the group's strategic direction and progress in industrial decarbonization. After a long journey, it now has a broad and comprehensive product line. Dr. Zhou also presented successful applications of advanced compression technology such as CCUS (industrial decarbonization solutions), green hydrogen, decarbonized heating and CAES (compressed air energy storage). He said that in future the low-carbon industry group will take deeper root in China and provide customers with one-stop lifecycle solutions, and he looks forward to working together to find opportunities and achieve win-win cooperation in the dynamic, fast-growing energy transition market.
Mr. Feng Gang, General Manager of the Operations Technical Support Center at Yingde Gases, shared his views on new business models and trends in industrial gases from a user's perspective. He pointed out that the economy, safety, reliability and advancement of equipment need particular attention. Specifically, investment and maintenance costs must be strictly controlled, service convenience improved, and paths to technical innovation actively explored, so as to raise equipment efficiency and extend its service life. He also asked whether a spare-parts sharing model could be offered and whether manufacturers' after-sales service includes routine inspections, putting forward practical new requirements for equipment manufacturers based on users' real needs.
In the afternoon session, Mr. Zeng Zhi, Director and Deputy General Manager of Domex-E, picked up Mr. Feng's topic and, based on Domex-E's complete solutions and innovations for Siemens air separation compressors, explained in depth how to optimize air separation compressor selection to meet customers' demanding requirements on cost, performance and reliability. Mr. Zeng said that, with fifteen years of accumulated experience, Domex-E will continue to focus on technical innovation and launch more efficient and energy-saving solutions for customers, to promote the sustainable development of the industrial gas industry.
Mr. Yang Yichen, manager of Domex-E's service division, shared Domex-E's solutions for lifecycle services and stressed the importance of service innovation in raising customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Mr. Geng Ziduan, PhD in computer science from Fudan University and digital AI technology expert at Domex-E, started from the technology roadmap in the context of Industry 4.0 and introduced the model building of the Domex-E digital platform and how AI and big-data analysis are used to predict and diagnose faults, making compressor systems digital and intelligent.
At the end of the day's meetings, Domex-E and its partners looked back on the most memorable stories from six recent projects, shared the difficulties met during execution and how they were tackled, and expressed heartfelt thanks for the partners' tireless efforts and results. One vivid episode after another was recounted, and every guest shared what they had gained and learned. The guests agreed that they hope future cooperation will run even more smoothly with fewer surprises, and that they will move forward together with high spirits and unshakable conviction, to develop and succeed together!
Factory visit
On the second day of the conference, in a light, cool rain, many guests gathered early to visit the Domex-E plant in Deqing. During the visit, they praised the plant's lean staffing and efficient management processes, marvelled at how comprehensive and finely managed the spare parts warehouse (the Siemens compressor spare parts warehouse) is, and admired the breadth of the plant's business and the variety of its products.
The conference came to a successful close after the factory visit. 2024 is a highly meaningful year for Domex-E: it showcases fifteen years of hard work and is an important milestone as the company enters a new stage of development and opens a new chapter. "Virtue is never alone; you are always with us": Domex-E's development depends on the deep trust and full support of every customer. Looking ahead, amid the wave of digital transformation, Domex-E will take its fifteenth anniversary as a new starting point, continue to uphold the philosophy of customer success and win-win cooperation, keep deepening cooperation with all parties, continue to drive technical innovation and upgrades, and provide customers with better products and services through more flexible and efficient resource allocation.
